Ministries - Programs

Sunday School
Bible study is one of the means God uses to communicate His values and purposes to mankind. Bible study classes also provide significant support groups. Age-graded Bible study classes meet on Sunday Mornings at 9:30 AM. Co-educational classes are offered for children, youth, and all adults. Single sex classes are also offered for adults over forty. An annual Winter Bible Study provides in-depth study of a specific book of the Bible. Vacation Bible School is offered for a week each summer to children, ages 4 through sixth grade.

Youth
A ministry for all youth, grades 7-12, offers opportunity for growth through mental, physical, social, and spiritual activities. Annual trips are offered to the State Youth Evangelism Encounter, and scheduled trips are also made to Ridgecrest, North Carolina, or Glorietta, New Mexico. Mission projects encourage youth to share their time and talents. Parents play an important part in the youth ministry and are given opportunity for involvement and resources for dealing with youth at home.

Brotherhood
This men's ministry of the church hosts a monthly prayer breakfast on the first Saturday and holds a mission emphasis meeting on the fourth Wednesday of each month. The Brotherhood also includes an age-graded mission program for boys, grades 1-12, named Royal Ambassadors, which meets on Wednesday nights during the school year. The men provide a "Helping Hands" ministry which handles fix-up tasks around the home for the elderly and widows and have participated in construction and mission trips. The men also lead in worship during the annual Baptist Men's Day.

Women's Missionary Union
The W.M.U. Hosts monthly meetings on the fourth Wednesday of each month. In addition, Round Table meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month, and Current Missions meets the first Wednesday of each month. The W.M.U. coordinates the Home and Foreign Mission book studies and offerings. An age-graded missions program is offered for preschoolers (Mission Friends), and for girls ages 6-17 (GA's and Acteens).
