Ryan Tackett

Ryan Tackett has been in the ministry since 2007. He began serving as the Minister to Youth and Families at FBC Carterville in June 2015 and started serving as our lead pastor on July 2, 2023. He is originally from Springfield, Illinois. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration from Western Illinois University. He is an online student at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Ryan was licensed as a minister at Chatham Baptist Church in Chatham, Illinois in 2009 and ordained as a minister at Calvary Baptist Church in Monticello, Illinois in 2012. Ryan's greatest joy is the relationship he has in Jesus Christ and his greatest desire in ministry is for others to find that same joy in Christ.

Ryan and his wife Claudia were married in 2009 and have four children - Anna, Amos, Asher, and Abner. Ryan and Claudia enjoy sports, the outdoors, reading, going to the park, and

most importantly, raising and discipling their children to know, love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ!
